The President and Legislative Branch Have Gone Into Hiding

August 10, 2009 (LPAC)— Reports continued on Sunday of 'Congressional' town meetings at which hundreds and sometimes thousands of Americans turn out in outrage, and at which Members of Congress sometimes show themselves only briefly before going into hiding. The news of a score of meetings in a few days with a minimum 500 people, and often 1,000 to 2,000 people turning out, standing outside in parking lots for one to two hours listening, debating, shouting, denouncing, shows that no national organization or political party is "turning them out"—none is capable of it. As LaRouche's westcoast spokesman, Harley Schlanger, told a radio host yesterday, "Six months ago, Dick Armey couldn't organize a soul to go anywhere."
